Research direction and characteristics

My research interests center around the replication of Kaposi’s sarcoma-associated herpesvirus (KSHV), human norovirus (HuNV), and Epstein-Barr virus (EBV). Currently, five projects are undergoing in my research lab.

Investigating the modulation of specific viral and cellular gene expression by the KSHV latency-associated nuclear antigen (LANA) protein

Exploring the coordinated assembly of the KSHV lytic DNA replication complex

Studying the protein stability and the biological functions of the KSHV lytic switch protein

Characterizing the functional interactions of HuNV proteins with the host cellular machinery

Studying the reciprocal interactions between the EBV lytic cycle and the unfolded protein response
