Research interests: HCC is the fifth most common cancer and the second leading cause of cancer-related deaths worldwide. Partial hepatectomy, ablation therapy, and liver transplantation are considered curative treatments for HCC, but a high probability of recurrence has led to unsatisfactory outcomes. One major reason for this result is that HCC is a hypervascular malignant tumor. Our laboratory is interesting in carcinogenesis mechanisms of HCC, interaction between cancer and its tumor micro-environment. |
